      Premier Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is looking for an MRI Technologist to work at our Havertown, PA Imaging Center. The schedule for this role is Monday-Wednesday from 4:00pm-8:00pm.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      • Performs MRI imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols.
      • Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.
      • Maintains patient care, comfort, and safety during transport to and from the coach and during the exam.
      • Maintains technical competency through continued education.
      • Administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
      • Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.
      • Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
      • Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
      • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
      • May assist with the setup and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers’ guidelines.
      • Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the facility.
      • Completes necessary administrative tasks.
      • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
      • Complies with all safety policies and regulations.
      • Performs additional duties as required.

      EDUCATION

      • Radiographer certification.

      EXPERIENCE

      • Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an MRI Tech.

      REQUIREMENTS

      • Radiographer certification (ARRT)
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

      KNOWLEDGE

      • Medical terminology.
      • Principles and practices of diagnostic radiographic procedures.
      • Basic chemistry, film apparatus, and film processing techniques.
      • Knowledge of how diseases and injuries are diagnosed and imaged radiographically.
      • Knowledge of human anatomy.
      • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work.

      SKILLS

      • Strong customer service.
      • Strong attention-to-detail.
      • Ability to work under pressure.

      ABILITIES

      • Lift and position patients for the type of MRI procedure required.
      • Notice detail in drawings and differences in shapes and shadings.
      • Keep and maintain records.
